Welcome to Hatchling House Family Day Care
I am very HAPPY to share my vision for CHILDREN with you.
I believe all children are UNIQUE INDIVIDUALS who have the right to have their needs met, the right to play, to be treated with respect and ‘not discriminated against on the bias of gender, age, race, religion, language, ability, culture or national origin’.
Educators with Hatchling House Family Day Care in Caboolture and Morayfield offer a SAFE HOME environment for all children to have the OPPORTUNITY to EXPERIENCE a stimulating, aesthetically pleasing environment offering age appropriate activities for each child to develop and LEARN at their own pace.
All CHILDREN are encouraged and supported to ACHIEVE, NEGOTIATE, make choices, have fun, experiment and make GOOD FRIENDS.
I HOPE that TOGETHER we can all be part of this vision and ‘allow young children to emerge’ as competent and confident individuals.
‘Code of Ethics’ Hatchling House

The aim for hatchling house family day care is to support each child’s emerging individuality with a safe secure, stimulating family environment.
This reflects in how the business was named, as to what a baby turtle endures when first hatched on the beach making its journey to the water. Watching a baby sea turtle (known as “hatchlings”) struggle out of the nest and make its way to the water is an emotional experience.
Hatchlings use the natural light horizon, which is usually over the ocean, along with the white crests of the waves to reach the water when they emerge from the nest. Any other light sources such as beachfront lighting, street lights, light from cars, campfires etc. can lead hatchlings in the wrong direction.
Everything from footprints to driftwood and crabs are obstacles, though this gauntlet is important for its survival. Birds, foxes and fish are just a few of the predators these vulnerable creatures face.
Some experts say only one out of a thousand will survive to adulthood under natural conditions. I liken this experience to early childhood………………….. I feel children need love, direction, nurturing and guidance through their early years of development, just like turtle hatchlings………. for this reason I chose the turtle logo for ‘Hatchling House Family Day Care’.
I look forward to providing a high quality service for all educators, parents and children. I will encourage and practice open communication to ensure every point of view is heard.
